More About Our Governors

Chris Newbery lives in the neighbouring village of Brigstock .  He has two girls attending the school.
The school offers a friendly, family environment with one year per class and has a great ethos to learning.
Chris wants to use his experience within the commercial sector, therefore has joined as a Parent Governor.  He has taken on a role within the finance committee to help maintain the school profile and ensure the smooth running
in the future.

 

Tessa Barcham has lived in Thorpe Waterville for 10 years.  She has been a community governor at Trinity since last autumn, but has also been a governor at a city centre school in Peterborough for the last 7 years.  Tessa is married with 2 grown up children, and has worked in local education authorities for the last 20 years.  Her current 'day job' is managing the services for school governors at Peterborough City Council.  Tessa has recently moved to working part time in preparation for retirement, and is keen to get more involved in the local community.  She hopes that her long experience in working in education and, in particular with governors, will be useful to Trinity   Lower   School .

 

  Julie Normington

Liz Mullis has been an LEA governor at trinity since July 2005 and lives in the village of Sudborough . She currently works for the University Of Oxford as a Knowledge Transfer Manager working with the Environmental Technologies sector.
Liz is a qualified business adviser and relishes the opportunity to utilize the skills she has gained in her career both in this job and previous roles to benefit the school. The role is interesting and varied and always a challenge. Liz sits on the personnel and finance committees and is also child protection and link governor.

 

Scott Preston is currently a Deputy Principal at a large secondary school in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.  In this role, he has been involved in all aspects of running a school and therefore has a good working knowledge of how Governors can improve a school, and help to add value to the work of the staff.
Scott has lived in Thrapston since 1998.  His son, Callum, started at Trinity in year R in September 2007, and he has really enjoyed the family environment that Trinity offers.  Scott is looking forward to using his experience to help all of the children get the most out of the school.
