Links with the local Community

Trinity Lower School was originally situated at the Old School House next to the church in Aldwincle. The new school was built and opened in May 1964 when staff and pupils moved the short distance along Main Street. Since then the School has grown both in buildings and pupils to its present day 116 children on roll. The school is closely associated with the Church and local community. The school welcomes members of the community to special assemblies throughout the year and also to events such as the Summer Fayre and Sports Days that are held.
Close links are fostered with the local farmers with visits to see the lambs and in the past hedge planting has been undertaken. The local Pocket Park is visited regularly and village walks to study architecture and nature are also enjoyed.
At Harvest Festival time the produce that is brought in by the children is given to local charity groups who distribute it to homeless people.
We would be happy for village residents to add their comments, views and any items of news that they would like to advertise on our website. We will be happy to help villagers who are interested, both in Aldwincle and our surrounding catchment area villages, to add their pieces, both written and/or pictures. We look forward to hearing from you.
